Morgan Bryant is an associate attorney at Roberts & Stevens who focuses on Labor and Employment Law and Litigation. Her practice includes advising and representing small and large businesses and human resource professionals about the numerous laws affecting the workplace. She advises clients on a broad range of issues including: wage and hour compliance, non-compete agreements, employee handbooks, employee benefits, personnel policies, employment discrimination, and contracts and procedures. Morgan works closely with clients to prevent potential problems with day-to-day counseling on an array of human resource issues and proactive strategies. If and when a dispute cannot be resolved informally, Morgan is prepared to defend her client’s best interest at trial.
Morgan’s volunteer work and editorial experiences have equipped her with skills that may be utilized in the pursuit of her client’s best interest. During her undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University, Morgan was a service learning volunteer with North Carolina Legal Aid. While attending The Charleston School of Law, Morgan dedicated herself to the Charleston Law Review, where she initially served as an associate articles editor and logistics chair of the 2012 Law and Society Symposium. During her third year, her peers elected her to serve as editor in chief for Volume VII of the Charleston Law Review. Morgan also volunteered her services to the 16th Judicial Circuit Public Defenders Office of South Carolina by contributing her legal research and writing to their criminal law caseload.
Morgan, a Western North Carolina native, grew up in Burnsville, North Carolina, just outside of Asheville. She became a runner for Roberts & Stevens in 2006, and, in order to glean skill and experience in civil litigation, she continued to return to Roberts & Stevens for summer clerkships during law school. Morgan’s undergraduate and graduate experiences have equipped her with the skills needed to assist clients with all corporate and employment law needs.
