Thank you to these sponsors who are generously supporting the Bar Build, our effort to build a house for a family affiliated with the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Join us as we collaborate on this important initiative to help end homelessness in our community. In a letter to Bar members, President Ingrid Friesen requests sponsors for the 28th JDB BarBuild Habitat for Humanity house. She says, "Our goal is to raise $55,000 by June 1, 2013 to build a house for a family currently living in inadequate housing. Acquiring a home is no easy task for people who don’t earn enough to save up a down payment. The sooner a family can start building equity in a home the more stable the family, and the better the outcomes for the children in the home. We want to help families acquire a home and show the community that we care. I know that all of you have been generous sponsors of many community projects. I hope that you or your firm will support this Bar project." Click here for the Habitat for Humanity website. Please be sure to designate your donation to "28th JDB Bar Build."
